The Winery

Winery and Tasting Room
William Harrison Winery, est 1985

Our rustic winery was constructed in 1985 using rough-hewn redwood and limestone quarried just across the Silverado Trail. Its architecture dates to early California, and emulates a functional building from the Mission era. Intimate and down to earth, it is home to both the winery and our tasting room; when you step inside, you can inhale the aroma of the wine aging in the adjacent barrel cellar.

Your Humble Host

Our General Manager, Rod Santos is a self-described fermentation evangelist.  For over twenty years, he has dedicated his professional and avocational life to educating consumers on the pleasures of fine wine and beer appreciation. He is a former retailer and home brewing instructor, a Society of Wine Educators Certified Specialist of Wine, and the current President of the Rutherford Dust Society. As one of only two full time employees here at William Harrison, Rod wears a lot of hats. (No, really!) Having cut his teeth right here in Napa Valley, he takes great pride in the authentic brand of hospitality we offer, and never tires of helping a new patron discover their next favorite wine. While he spends most of his time in front of a computer screen, his real passion is hosting you for a tasting. Rod lives in Coombsville with his wife, Dianne and their fur baby, Lilah.
